The Grove Health & Fitness team of qualified trainers provides a number of services for residents at the Country Club Gym including group fitness classes, personal training, fitness programs plus much more.
The Country Club and Michelia gyms have been equipped with a wide range of the latest cardio equipment, including treadmills, cross trainers, bicycles and rowing machines. All of these have personal monitors and are iPod compatible so listening to your favourite music is just a matter of plugging your iPod into the machine.
The Country Club gym is also equipped with a range of free weights and resisted weight machines to help keep you in shape.
A group exercise room is also available at the Country Club and this is used for classes such as cardio boxing, yoga and specific programs for our fun and active Over 50 group. The Timetable will vary over time according to demand, based on attendance and feedback from residents. Classes are FREE and open to residents only, with the exception of Yoga. There is no need to register for classes, just come along when you can make it. Any changes to the Timetable will be available on the gym noticeboard, the website and via email newsletters. The Country Club gym is open during the following times:
- 5.30am to 9.00pm Monday to Friday
- 6.30am to 9.00pm Saturday & Sunday
The Michelia Club Gym is open 24 hours 7 days a week
Note: Children aged 14 and 15 years may use the gym provided that they are supervised by a parent at all times.
Access to the sports and recreation facilities at the Country Club between 5.30am - 8.30am is by the side entry gate adjacent to the driveway. Access to the facilities after 8.30am is available either by the front door of the Country Club or by the side entry gate.
Access to the Michelia Club Gym between 8.30am - 9.00pm is through either the front or side access door. After hours access is only through the side door directly outside the gym.
Don’t forget to book in for a Gym Induction!
Grovelife Health and Fitness provide some free gym inductions at the Country Club to help get you started at the gym! You can choose to book in for a free individual session on a Friday morning between 5.30am - 8.30am, Saturday morning between 6.30am - 8.30 or a Sunday morning between 6.30am - 8.30am.
The inductions aim to give residents an opportunity to learn how to safely use our gym equipment and discover some new exercises that you have yet to consider.
Inductions held outside the above timeslots can be booked in at a cost of $30 per half hour [payable directly to the trainer], where you will receive an initial exercise program from a qualified personal trainer.
