Oran Park Drive Upgrade

Dear Residents,

We have recently engaged TRN Group to perform an upgrade of the existing Oran Park Drive between Harrington Parkway and the Camden Valley Way.  Please find attached letter from TRN detailing the work to be performed.

We would like to provide residents with an outline of the work that will commence this month and the benefits to residents on completion of the work in June 2016.

  1. The intersection at Forestgrove Drive and Oran Park Drive will operate as a left in and left out lane only during construction.  This means that residents wishing to turn right from Forestgrove Drive will be diverted to Harrington Parkway to then turn right from this intersection onto Oran Park Drive.  Residents may also wish to use alternate routes through Harrington Park to Camden Valley Way.
  2. To ensure the safe flow of traffic on Forestgrove Drive, we have recently completed the centreline road markings at the corner of Maculata Park and increased the sight distance with the removal of trees. We will monitor the traffic through this period and ask that all vehicles move through the estate with care and consideration for other residents.  We encourage residents to allow for additional travel time during peak times.
  3. On completion of the work, traffic lights will be in operation at the Forestgrove Drive and Oran Park Drive intersection.  This will provide a much safer outcome for residents crossing Oran Park Drive.
  4. The work will also include the construction of Catherine Park Drive, which is the northern extension of Forestgrove Drive. This will provide access for school traffic to the north of St Justin’s / St Benedict’s Catholic Schools, which in time will reduce the school traffic on Oran Park Drive and parking by school traffic in Harrington Grove.
