The Ingham Institute for Applied Medical Research is a not-for-profit medical research institute based in the heart of South Western Sydney at Liverpool Hospital that conducts medical research that specifically addresses, and can be applied to, the needs of the local population and wider Australia.
The Institute’s research programs are built upon the health concerns of the local South West community and encompass critical diseases like cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, serious injury and mental health. It is also pioneering an Australian-first cancer research project called the MRI-Linac that will improve the accuracy and precision of radiotherapy treatment for cancer.
