Residents please be are that there is a magpie swooping in Magnolia Park.

You can help protect yourself by:

• Walk calmly and maintain eye contact with the bird
• Protect your head with a wide brimmed hat or use an umbrella. You can also put your arms above / over your head

• If you are cycling, dismount and walk your bike through the area. You can also try fitting a flag to your bike or attaching cable ties and other items to your helmet.
There is also a fact sheet available on Council’s website that may be of assistance: https://www.camden.nsw.gov.au/.../A4-Fact-Sheet-Swooping... .
Warning signage has been put in place at all park entrances and on the play equipment this afternoon advising residents of the swooping bird and providing information on how to avoid being swooped.
