Michelia Club

A reminder that the developers will be providing an update on the Michelia Club at the upcoming Community Association meeting and residents will be advised afterwards via the Meeting Outcomes document. Also please note that Harrington Lifestyle Services is not involved in the management or the construction of the Michelia Club whilst in this development phase, but we will endeavour to provide the community with progress updates whenever we receive them from the developers.

Maintenance Update

The Western side of the estate.

In Wildfire, GEM have just completed weeding the gardens, replacing missing plants, mulching entry gardens and extending the irrigation to cover the full area of the entry turf. In Laurina, GEM have been focusing on the huge job of painting the post & rail fences and repairing the entry statement walls. They are also about to mulch Laurina & Lineal Parks, install water meters there, mulch the street trees and spray the weeds in the Laurina garden beds. GEM have also been busy repairing the post and rail fences in Michelia as well as repairing all the associated locks on those fences and bollards. They have a demanding couple of weeks coming up with all their broadleaf spraying in all of the above precincts, mulching various areas within these precincts, and planting a large number of street trees, particularly in Michelia and Laurina. On top of all of this, they still maintain their normal maintenance schedule including all the maintenance work they do at the Country Club, especially as the building begins to age gracefully! I’m sure by the end of winter, the estate will be in a great condition to prepare for all that spring will bring to the Grove!

The Eastern side of the estate

All broad leaf weed spraying has now been completed, however a second spray may be required in a few weeks’ time.  Extra staff have been on site over the last week or so painting all timber fences and outdoor chairs in Lomandra, Araucaria and Maculata. Fences have also been painted outside the Country Club, Magnolia Club and Dianella Park as well as some smaller ones along Forestgrove Drive. The team is now currently working on the boundary fence at Dianella. Great job CityWide!

Gym Updates

Air Conditioning in the Gym -

Every week we receive many requests for the temperature of the gym to be set to a certain level, but unfortunately these requests vary enormously between individuals. Please note that the temperature of all gyms at any complex are always programmed to be at a set level and that we follow the guidelines as recommended by the International Fitness Association. Although we try to please as many gym users as possible, we unfortunately can’t please everyone, so we have set the temperature to the most requested level within the above guidelines until the end of winter and will re-evaluate from there. You also may have noticed that the air conditioning controls are now locked, as some gym users were adjusting the settings to their own personal preferences. This resulted in many complaints being received about the fluctuating temperatures inside the gym.

Hopefully this clarifies the actions we’ve taken recently in the gym and that they contribute to a more comfortable workout for the majority of our gym users!

Free Gym Inductions – new times now available!

We have listened to your feedback and we have now set up a number of free Group Gym Inductions at different times in the coming months. The inductions are run by our personal trainers and include a tutorial on how to safely use the gym equipment in addition to a free initial exercise program.  All the details are on the above linked flyer, so be sure to book in soon as places are limited!

Gym CCTV Reviews

Frequent reviews of our camera footage shows there are still a few residents opening the emergency exit doors within the gym. To avoid installing expensive audible alarms on these doors &/or suspending individual gym memberships, we’d ask all gym users to follow the clear signs on these doors and refrain from opening them whilst in the gym. Also if you do see the door open, please either close it yourself &/or let reception know asap. Thanks so much!

New Gym Timetable

The gym timetable has been reviewed and now includes the all new Energy HIIT class to take place on a Friday morning. Energy HIIT is open to everyone and is sure to get your blood pumping with short intense bursts of cardio training that will help you to burn fat, increase strength and improve your overall cardiovascular health.
